Dripping in vibrant color palettes and unapologetic sex appeal, Adela Overflow emerges from the television static and onto stages and screens near YOU! Raised by the queer DIY art scene, she is known for her subversive creativity saturated in punk values and pin-up aesthetics. Her multimedia performances are an amalgam of cartoon parodies, underground comics, and video/gif art. She is inspired by the work of Leigh Bowery, Irving Klaw, and the Cinema of Transgression movement. With her high-fashion looks and statuesque figure, this technicolor temptress entices audiences to immerse themselves in her animated exploration of queer desire, self-expression, and collective liberation. She has performed at prolific variety shows such as Gagged! at Sidekicks Saloon, HOLE at The Bottleneck, and Mazzy’s Darkwater Inn at The Ship. She is often spotted with her polaroid camera attending various nightlife events, perusing local vintage stores, as well as roaming in-between the regular scheduled program and the commercial break.
